IAM is open to various embedded computational boards and currently employs a Raspberry Pi 4B, a microphone array with surround sound detections, an Intel Real Sense D-455, and various ambient sensors.
The images below show the complete prototype for capturing data, and depict the cad assembly designs. The device enclosure is printed in weather-resistant material and sealed with rubberized gaskets. IAM employs a hydrophobic mesh for acoustic transparency. The system currently carries an IPX-3 waterproof rating, and further iterations will aim to provide IPX-5. It is currently modeled to detect transportation collisions as shown below.
Introducing TRASS – a temperature regulating autonomous solar shade! With the increase in the earth’s temperature, it’s more important than ever to prioritize efficient heating, cooling, and lean building designs to ensure environmental longevity for future generations. This is why reducing the usage of chemically involved mechanisms, such as cooling units with hydrofluorocarbon refrigerants, and improving natural absorption or reflection of sunlight is vital for sustainability and mandatory in any intelligent city design. This paper focuses on active temperature control utilizing novel intelligent window system designs that permit interior and external fixation. The proposed system aims to reduce energy consumption, providing benefits including consumer cost savings and a reduction of fossil fuel usage.
TRASS is a self-sufficient product with communication capabilities and autonomous use. The experimental results show that the autonomous control of the prototype allows accurate temperature regulation by managing the amount of sunlight. The model incorporates rechargeable batteries and alternative energy, allowing older generational homes and buildings to employ the system without needing external power. The system continuously maintains necessary environmental conditions indoors without user interaction. However, TRASS permits manual adjustments to ensure proper management at desired conditions. With TRASS, not only can you save money on energy bills, but you can also do your part in reducing your carbon footprint, making it a perfect addition to any intelligent city design. Try out TRASS today and see the difference it can make in your life and the environment!
